Is Passion Enough? | Note 551
Can following your passion bring you all the riches and the success you seek?
You hear it all the time — follow your passion. If you do what you love, the rest will work out. But is this advice on point?
Passion is critically essential for your happiness but not required for success.
You can find success having skills but not necessarily have a passion for it. How often do you meet people that have worked at their jobs for ten years but hate it? They have mastered the necessary skills to make money at it and have even received a few promotions but don’t particularly have a passion for what they do.
Let’s be clear. Having a passion can make a difference and change the game for you.
Passion generates enthusiasm and fuels inspiration, along with an overwhelming drive to reach your goals.
Passion correlates with desire and usually drives people towards specific goals.
Having genuine passion enhances your desire to pursue excellence and motivates you — it’s like having unlimited energy or a power supply that keeps you going.
It’s no guarantee, but having passion can do a lot for you, and success may have nothing to do with it, but only you can answer the question, “Is passion enough?”
Grab a pencil and write these affirmations down.
I have passion.
I am successful.
I understand that having passion can help me reach my goals.
I am excited that my passion generates enthusiasm and fuels inspiration.
I know my passion can bring me all the riches and the success I seek.
Use this affirmation when you first wake up or when you are about to go to bed for the best results. Add emotions to your affirmations.
Feel the meaning in the words as you repeat them. Don’t just say the words. Feel and believe they are true.
