Get Over That Sh*t | Note 042
What happened happened. What can you do?
Sometimes when I’m talking with my mother, she will say, “keep on living.” I’ve heard her say that term so many times it’s like an echo in my ear. Basically, her message is, the longer you keep living, the more shit will happen.
As long as I can remember, my mother has always instilled in me to keep moving.
One memory that has always stuck with me is when my mom said, “there is more to life than high school.” She never lied.
I’ve lived a full life, which includes college, traveling the world, entrepreneurship, being a corporate citizen, and more. I’ve had ups and downs, and through it all, I leaned into the meaning of what my mother said, when she says keep on living.
Today’s Note: Get Over That Sh*t
You can only control yourself and your actions. People will do things that you agree and disagree with. Not everything will go your way. Someone will make you upset. And something won’t go as you expected.
You can either stay stuck and complain about what the person did to you or about the situation that didn’t go your way or Alternatively, you can keep moving. The faster you move on, the happier you will be.
What happened happened. There is nothing you can do to change the past. You can accept it or don’t. But for your sanity, hopefully, you’ll learn to forgive and get over that sh*t.
