One of my favorite Neville Goddard quotes is, “To say “I will be” is a confession that “I am not.”
 
As Neville states in his book, The Power of Awareness, “It is impossible to do anything. You must be in order to do. If you had a different concept of yourself, everything would be different. You are what you are, so everything is as it is. The events which you observe are determined by the concept you have of yourself.”
 
You can change the concept you have of yourself by assuming that you are what you want to be, but you must be in order to do.
