Reinvent Yourself

Personal Branding | Reinvent Yourself | Note 321

Work on your personal brand.

This week is all about personal branding. And if you are wondering how does that fits into bite-sized motivation, stay tuned. All this week, I will bring it into focus for you.

If you aren’t where you want to be personally and professionally, it is time to reinvent yourself. To do that, you’ll need to examine where you are and decide who (and what) you want to be — you’ll need to work on your personal brand.

What’s a personal brand?

Before I answer that, please know that you are a brand whether you want to be or not. Branding doesn’t happen just because you decide it’s a great idea. And no, your brand is not your product, your logo, or your website.

A personal brand is your reputation. It’s the impression people have of you. It’s the total experience of someone having a relationship with who you are and what you represent.

Your brand is the emotion you evoke. Your personal brand is what people see as your identity, your qualities, your values, and what they associate you with.

If you’re not smitten with how you’re perceived, and most importantly, if you aren’t happy with where you are, take control of your brand. Reinvent yourself.
