Learn | Note 197
How are you consuming knowledge?
Book smarts, I got that.
Street smarts, I got that too.
I spent a couple of years as an athletic training major at UNLV in Las Vegas before moving to New York and transferring to a university in New Jersey, where I received a Bachelor of Science degree. I was on my way to grad school before I pivoted. That didn’t stop me from learning, though.
I took some pre-MBA classes at UCLA. I also completed a project management certification from Cal State Dominguez.
Did I mention, I also have an Associate’s Degree?
Yeah, I spent a lot of time on somebody’s college campus. But here’s the thing: most of my greatest lessons have come from the streets, and the internet, thanks to my thirst for knowledge.
My most valuable lessons come from living life. From the classroom to the internet, I never stop learning.
Hi! I am Tam. I may be addicted to learning.
Today’s Note: Learn
You will always have something to learn. You never know where your next lesson is coming from. If you pay attention, you’ll learn something new.
No matter how successful you are, there is always something to learn. Some will say, you learn from failure way more than you learn from success.
Tom Bodett, the Motel 6 Guy, yes, the Motel 6 Guy dropped some knowledge when he said, “The difference between school and life? In school, you’re taught a lesson and then given a test. In life, your given a test that teaches you a lesson.”
Whether you are consuming knowledge in school or from life, learn!
