Get Out of Your Own Way

Self-Improvement | Get Out of Your Own Way | Note 482

Do you get caught up in overthinking, or do you let things flow?

Thank you to each of you. I’m approaching my 500th note for the Sincerely HER Podcast, and I’ve thought a lot about throwing in the towel. I’ve said this in the past, but I’m closer than ever.

Don’t get me wrong, I love sharing my notes, but to be honest, I don’t get a lot of downloads. Ironically, in terms of overall downloads, Friday, I had my best day ever, but it was also my worst day for the number of downloads per episode.

I often tell myself that if I can help one person, it is all for something. However, the lack of downloads, subscribers, comments, and the time I spend editing the podcast may also be a message for me.

Maybe it’s time for me to move on. Maybe not.

Nonetheless, I’m going to keep going for the next 20 episodes and re-evaluate.

Yesterday, I talked about second-guessing yourself. Today is all about the self-doubt that is causing you to second guess yourself.

As simple as it sounds, self-doubt is taking you away from the path of greatness.

Lack of confidence, worrying about what the next person is doing, debating if you are good enough, and comparing yourself to others are keeping you stuck. It keeps you self-doubting. These are the obstacles standing in your way of happiness.

There is no need to get sucked into every thought, doubt, or distraction. You can choose to let things flow or get caught up in overthinking.

It’s your choice to decide to get out of your own way.
