Burn Out All That Is Impure | Note 078

Sometimes you have to suffer to figure out what’s worth going after.

“Suffering is always the effect of wrong thought in some direction. It is an indication that the individual is out of harmony with himself, with the Law of his being. The sole and supreme use of suffering is to purify, to burn out all that is useless and impure. Suffering ceases for him who is pure.”

The quote above is from the book “As a Man Thinketh” by James Allen.

Hi! I am Tam. Your virtual Mentor, Motivator, and Strategist.

Today’s Note: Burn out all that is useless and impure.

Sometimes you have to go through a few things to find out what you really want.
Sometimes you have to suffer to figure out what’s worth going after.
Sometimes you have to suffer to understand a hard lesson.
Sometimes you have to suffer to become the best version of you.

And when you move into a harmonious state, it’s that same suffering that will strengthen you, make you appreciate what you have, and what’s coming.

Suffering will teach you lessons that will help you grow and give you perspective.

You don’t have to suffer. No one wants to suffer, but good things can come from it. As James Allen wrote, the sole and supreme use of suffering is to purify, to burn out all that is useless and impure.
