I also keep going! While I was in college, I wanted to be a sports anchor. I knew a lot about most sports. I didn’t think becoming a sports anchor was impossible. But, I thought because of my southern dialect, it would be too much of an uphill battle.
 
A decade-plus later, I started a NASCAR podcast. One day I was at a NASCAR race, and this guy walked up to me and asks, is your name is Tam. With a puzzled look on my face, I said yes. Then he said, “I recognize your voice from your podcast. I love your voice.”
 
Not only have several people shared that they love my voice, but I also secured sponsorship from major brands.
 
Just think, a long time ago, I couldn’t be bothered trying to see beyond what I perceived as a brick wall.
 
Here’s the thing. There will always be inroads. There will always be obstacles. What will you do? How will you handle them? Like Cyndi Lauper, I know you will keep going. I know you will keep trying.
