Want 3 surprising steps to get unstuck?
Feeling Discouraged

Feeling Discouraged | Note 553

Do you have the courage to at least try?

I have a secret I want to share with you. I haven’t figured everything in life out… yet. But, I never give up on learning and changing my circumstances.

Sure, sometimes you need to know when to pivot, but give up? No. Never that! That’s not what I do. I take one step at a time until I figure it out. I try. I do. What about you?

Whether you feel like a failure or you’re dealing with regret, sometimes all you need to snap out of a funk is to change your focus.

Think and feel gratitude for what has happened, not what hasn’t.

Low energy, easily irritated, lack of focus, or unwilling to try are just a few things that can manifest in your day-to-day when you feel discouraged.

Dealing with any of it is tough, but so are you.

You may not be able to control every situation, but you have the strength to stop holding on to the stuff weighing you down.

Start by identifying what changes you need to make. Quit doing the things destroying your self-esteem. Let go of the negative bags you’re holding on to that are weighing you down.

What are negative bags?

Self-doubt, imposter syndrome, negative self-talk, toxic people, despair, feeling defeated, and things of that nature are bags weighing you down.

How to let go of these bags?

Start by being honest with yourself. Figure out why you feel the way you do. Stop comparing yourself with others. Have grace and patience that your feelings are temporary. And, more importantly, ask for help.

Sometimes it’s hard not to feel discouraged about what’s going on in our lives. The key is to get through these moments and keep going.

Don’t beat yourself up. Know that it is a normal emotion to feel discouraged.
